The pool in the Wartburg W has been unavailable to students and community members as it underwent upgrades and repairs for the 2025-26 academic year.
While students and faculty took a break this summer, the W did not. The poll received a full acid wash, tile and plaster repairs, a new handicap lift and various updates to improve quality and accessibility to those who use it.
Heather Zajicek, assistant director of aquatics and facilities for the W shares that the process of refilling the pool would take multiple days of filtering, cycling, heating and treating the water for students and community members.
